Meet Josh Lamecker - Agronomist

Share:
Josh began his ag career in 2010 and has industry experience working as both an agronomist and in research and development. As a central Minnesota native, Josh earned his bachelor’s in agricultural business management from the University of Minnesota.

Growing up, Josh was always interested in agriculture production. It didn’t matter if it was livestock or crops, he was always in the search of more information, knowledge and answers on the way things grew and worked together on the farm. With this inquisitive nature, he was driven to solve problems and make changes to better himself and others.

Josh enjoys representing Golden Harvest agronomy to help farmers diagnose field issues and maximize yield. He says, “As an agronomist I truly enjoy being a source of information and an educator to the farmers I have a privilege of working with. I have always tried to make the information relatable to their farming operation and keep the approach very simple. Having covered a large area of the upper Midwest, I have been involved in many different styles of crop production. This helps me adapt to many different farming operations and allows me to bring new ideas to the farms I work with today.”

Josh also farms with his wife in Sauk Rapids and together they have a small Gelbvieh cow–calf herd.
