Golden Harvest Continues Sponsorship with NASCAR Xfinity Series Rookie of the Year Sammy Smith Into 2024

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., USA, February 5, 2024 ― Golden Harvest announced the continuation of its sponsorship of NASCAR driver Sammy Smith. This announcement comes on the heels of Smith's achievement as the 2023 Rookie of the Year and his new role with the JR Motorsports team, driving the iconic #8 car, a number made famous by NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. In addition, Golden Harvest will be a primary sponsor for two Craftsman Truck Series races, where Sammy Smith will be driving the #7 Golden Harvest truck.

Golden Harvest takes pride in supporting Smith, a native of Johnston, Iowa, who has established himself as a proven winner in the NASCAR arena. Smith's journey, marked by significant milestones like his two ARCA Menards Series East championships and victories in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, mirrors Golden Harvest's commitment to farmer success and product performance. This sponsorship into 2024 celebrates not only Smith's rising career but also Golden Harvest’s dedication to uniting customers and dealers together through the excitement of racing

Speed, precision and power are important not only for winning NASCAR races, but also for driving Golden Harvest research and development efforts, which help deliver better products to farms more quickly. As part of its commitment to farmer success, Golden Harvest is expanding its corn and soybean breeding programs in 2024. This effort emphasizes increased trait introgression, ensuring that farmers have access to some of the best solutions for each acre. “Through strategic investments in research and development and state-of-the-art facilities, Golden Harvest is enhancing the precision and power of its seed portfolio,” said Farney. “We are putting a powerful engine behind our seed portfolio to bring more high-performing products to customers faster and drive growth for both Golden Harvest and our customers.”

“As Golden Harvest continues to evolve, our focus will always be on customer success,” said Golden Harvest Head of Marketing Kramer Farney. “Our support of Sammy Smith reinforces that commitment, increases exposure for our farmers and allows us to engage with local farmers and dealers at each race.”

Golden Harvest Seeds was created in 1973 through a business alliance of six local, family-owned seed companies.
