Raised on a family corn, soybean, wheat, strawberry and hog farm, agriculture has been at the center of Stephanie’s life from day one, and she can’t imagine her life any other way. Stephanie earned her master’s degree from Michigan State University in crop and soil science, and she is a certified crop adviser. As agronomy manager for the eastern agronomy team, Stephanie enjoys helping farmers achieve higher profit potential on every acre they farm.
As Stephanie explains, “I have a good ability to take pretty complex scientific processes and make them very farmer friendly. I like to take a good, better, best approach to situations. We don’t have to take a large leap towards improvement, but there are daily strides in every farming operation. That ability to make things relatable works, because I’m doing the same things that these guys are, and if it doesn’t work on my farm, it’s not something I’m going to recommend for someone else to do on theirs.”
Stephanie understands the importance of having her boots on the ground and in the fields. She knows that a hands-on approach is what helps make her farmer relationships successful. As she says, “My feet hit the floor every morning to help farmers. From seed selection to equipment, my goal is to help the farmers I work with maximize return on investment.”
