Chuck Lee, head of seeds marketing, discusses Golden Harvest innovation in Brookings, SD.

Guests at the Brookings, SD, Agronomy in Action site this summer had the opportunity to see firsthand how Golden Harvest is investing in research and development to help farmers maximize yield. Golden Harvest experts walked through corn hybrid and soybean variety demonstrations and shared how the latest corn and soybean genetics, traits and technologies can be utilized to manage environmental and insect pressures from season to season.

The billion-dollar investment
Chuck Lee, head of seeds marketing for North America, shared that farmers will benefit from an incremental $400 million investment over the next 5 years with:
  • 50% breeding staff increase
  • 33% trialing increase
  • 35 additional product selections leads
Additionally, the $30 million state-of-the-art Trait Conversion Accelerator broke ground earlier this year in Nampa, ID. The Trait Conversion Accelerator facility is equipped to produce high-speed trait conversion in corn and provide farmers with the newest genetic traits faster than ever before.

These investments provide Golden Harvest famers with access to the latest traits and technologies, more choice for their operations and additional support in managing their crops throughout the growing season.
