Meet Brian Banks

A University of Nebraska–Kearney graduate with his bachelor’s in biology and a concentration in agronomy, Brian has been in the agricultural industry for 20 years.

Brian’s favorite part about being an agronomist is being in the field and diagnosing crop growth and detrimental pests, figuring out how the intricacies of a biological system affects crop production. He is passionate about helping southeast Nebraska Golden Harvest farmers address corn and soybean field challenges, and he consistently delivers on the Service 365 year-round commitment to doing whatever it takes to optimize yield results.

Knowing a farmer’s cultural practices and how they run their operations is the basis for his relationship. “When we sit down to go through planning, a lot of times they want to see the local plot data and just choose a hybrid that yielded well,” explains Brian. “I ask a lot more questions than that. Sometimes those questions that don’t get asked or answered can make the difference between a successful year or a mediocre one.”

Find out what Golden Harvest Agronomist Brian Banks and the rest of the Golden Harvest team can do for you.
