Meet Adam Mayer - Agronomist

Adam began his career with Syngenta in 2008 and brings a wealth of field experience to southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa farmers. As a University of Minnesota graduate with his bachelor’s in applied plant science, Adam takes great pride in helping corn and soybean farmers make strategic management decisions.

When it comes to choosing Golden Harvest and the needs of his farmers, Adam says, “We have a pretty broad portfolio and we have some products that cover a lot of acres, but we also have products that fit specifically in some niche markets or certain areas. I really like understanding the needs of my farmers and the ground they farm. I’ve been in the area for quite a while now, and I have a pretty good handle on which soil management practices and what types of products work in particular scenarios.”

To Adam, tracking farmer success means incorporating the Golden Harvest Service 365 year-round commitment to doing whatever it takes to optimize yield results. He visits farmers’ fields several times throughout the growing season to get a good grip on specific conditions, assess product performance and evaluate harvest management. He states, “It’s in the multiple call process during the season where I build relationships, as well as my understanding of a farmer’s operation and management practices. Then, I can better tailor a plan for the coming years. It’s beneficial for all parties involved.”
