All farms and farmers are unique – that’s why, as a Golden Harvest agronomist, Ryan Mathewson prioritizes asking questions so he can offer the best recommendations and help farmers in eastern Kansas and western Missouri achieve high potential return on investment.
By spending time in the field with farmers and analyzing field data, Ryan finds areas of improvement and ultimately maximizes yield and profit potential. While every year may come with different circumstances, he welcomes the challenge of developing agronomic strategies specific to his farmers’ operations to meet both short- and long-term goals.
Ryan’s favorite part of the job is getting to spend time with farmers out in the field. His expertise in agronomic management practices helps him better understand hybrid and variety placement.
When he’s not helping his farmers achieve corn and soybean yield potential, you can find Ryan spending time with his family, cheering on Kansas State University and working on his family farm.
