Meet Agronomist - Micah Smidt

Micah Smidt joined the Golden Harvest agronomy team in 2025 as the northwest Iowa agronomist, bringing a strong agronomic foundation and a passion for farming to his customers.

Prior to stepping into this role, Micah served as a Golden Harvest Sales Representative in northern Iowa for five years. He also worked as an agronomist at Corteva and as the Farm Superintendent at Iowa State University Research Farms. Micah earned his bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Iowa State University.

He resides in Kanawha, Iowa, with his wife Jenny, and their three children—Bentley, Brielle, and Madelyn. Outside of work, Micah enjoys supporting his kids’ sports activities, cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones and Green Bay Packers, and staying active in the local youth activity group.
